U.K. mightiness metallic element sestet Dragonforce formed in 1999 about the twin-guitar assault of Herman Li and Sam Totman, keyboard player Vadim Pruzhanov, and the powerful vocals of ZP Theart -- drummer David Mackintosh and bass voice player Adrian Lambert joined by and by. Dragonforce had already toured with the likes of Halford and Stratovarius in front the waiver of their debut, 2003's Valley of the Damned. The success of that record establish the melodic bikers a worldwide consultation, resulting in a train of sold-out concerts in Asia and Europe. The group's sophomore campaign, Sonic Firestorm, was released in 2004, followed by Cold Rampage in 2006.

Guy Wants Eddy Arnold to Coffin Up DNA

Eddie ArnoldA man in Orange County claims he's country legend Eddy Arnold's illegitimate son -- and wants Arnold's body unburied for a DNA test to prove it.

Arnold -- the crooner who brought us "You Don't Know Me" and "I Want to Go With You" -- died May 8, but Christopher Edward Tanner just filed a petition in Davidson County, Tenn. to have DNA testing done on Arnold's remains, as the Tennessean reports. Eddy's lawyer says that Arnold always denied having fathered Tanner.

And by the way: Tanner is 47 years old. Think he waited long enough?

Power Ranger takes to Auckland stage

Power Ranger’s star Michelle Langstone is leaving behind superhero action for something a little more grown-up.

The 29-year-old Ponsonby resident is well known for her roles on Power Rangers and McLeod’s Daughters. Now she plays the centre of a love triangle in the Harold Pinter story Betrayal, on at the Herald Theatre.

She stars alongside Oliver Driver and Colin Moy.

Michelle takes on the role of Emma, a wife whose illicit affair destroys her marriage and sabotages a friendship.

"It’s a really grown-up play for me in a lot of ways," she says.

In an unusual twist, Betrayal is told in reverse chronological order, starting at the end of the affair and tracking back to the forbidden first kiss.

"It’s quite complicated, but in a really compelling and engaging way," she says.

Michelle says working with the script by Pinter, winner of the Nobel prize for literature, has been rewarding.

"It’s an amazing, timeless, beautiful play and it’s a story anyone can relate to."

She says the play has also been a "wonderful shift" and quite a change for her after her most recent appearance on the action-packed series Power Rangers.

Michelle describes her time on the series as imaginative, crazy, and "so much fun", but says it is nice to swap screen acting for the stage, something she tries to do once a year.

She plans to head to Australia at the end of this year and see where the work takes her.

"New Zealand will always be my home and I really love it but I also like the challenge of setting myself adrift."

Betrayal runs at the Herald Theatre until July 19.

For once the biggest mess in that family wasn't Coco.
